PLUS Borrower with Dependent Student Deferment
"My dependent student for whom I borrowed a PLUS loan is attending an eligible school on at least a half-time basis or is in a full-time rehabilitation program."
PLUS Borrower with Dependent Student Deferment — A deferment for a borrower whose dependent student for whom he or she borrowed a Federal PLUS loan is attending school on at least a half-time basis, or is in a full-time rehabilitation program.
There is no maximum time frame for this deferment. The deferment form must be certified by an authorized school official (for dependent students enrolled at least half time at an eligible institution) or an authorized rehabilitation training program official.
Note: For Parent PLUS loans first disbursed on or after July 1, 2008, you may receive deferment for any period that your student beneficiary is enrolled at least half time and for the 6-month period that follows. Contact your loan holder to request this deferment.
