The major purpose of the Graphic Design Team Lead is to enhance, maintain, and support the corporate image and brand of TG through the creative development of printed and electronic communication and marketing materials for both external and internal audiences as part of the Marketing Communications subprocess of Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation (TG). The Graphic Design Team Lead serves as art director and assists the Creative Director in determining, performing, and overseeing all design functions within the Communications subprocess from concept to final product.

Education Required
Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Communications, Marketing, or related discipline. Directly related experience may be substituted for degree requirement on a year for year basis.

Experience/skills Required
A minimum of five years of progressive graphic design experience is required. Knowledge and skill in illustration, graphic arts, computer-based graphic design, creative design, traditional production methods, and layout. Proficient in standard design software. Knowledge and experience with photography, multimedia design and software, and web design. Broad knowledge of and skills in all aspects of marketing and communication, including advertising, production and printing process, strategy development, editorial, design, and electronic media. Excellent editing, presentation, organizational and multitasking skills. Strong skills and experience in project management and supervision.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of student financial assistance industry.
