TG Benefits
In its competitive benefits, TG shows how it values its team members
We provide benefits that include insurance, a pension plan, paid vacation, personal and sick leave, and tuition reimbursement to our full-time team members.
Health Insurance
Employees have two options:
- Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) — offers visits to participating network doctors and prescription drug coverage for a modest co-payment.
- National Point of Service (NPOS) — provides similar benefits of the HMO but also allows employees to choose doctors outside the network.
Health insurance premiums can be deducted on a pre-tax basis, thus creating a greater level of savings for the employee.
Dental Insurance
Dental premiums can also be deducted on a pre-tax basis.
The Guardian Dental Program includes comprehensive coverage using a network of participating dentists. Coverage is also provided to employees who opt for dental care outside of the network.
Vision Care
Vision care is offered through the Superior Vision plan which provides network and non-network benefits for eye exam and materials for a modest co-payment.
As with Health and Dental Insurance, Vision premiums can also be deducted on a pre-tax basis.
Dress Code
TG has a business casual dress code.
Life Insurance/AD&D
TG provides no-cost life insurance coverage in the amount of 2x annual salary for the employee. The employee's family members also have no-cost life insurance.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) provides an additional coverage of 2x annual salary for employees.
Supplemental life insurance is available for a variable premium depending on age and the amount of coverage desired.
Long Term Disability
Long-Term Disability insurance is offered at no cost to the employee. Coverage provides for monthly payments of 60% of salary after 90 days of continuous disability.
Dependent Care and Medical Expense Reimbursement Accounts
Employees can set up special accounts to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for either dependent care or medical expenses. Contributions to either the dependent care account or the medical expense account are deducted on a pre-tax basis.
Employee Pension Plan
TG contributes an amount equal to nine percent of an employee's eligible annual salary into a money purchase pension plan. Employees gain an initial vested interest in the pension balance after two completed years of service. An employee reaches a fully vested interest after six years.
Tax Sheltered Annuities
Employees can supplement retirement savings by making voluntary pre-tax contributions to a tax-sheltered annuity.
Educational Benefits
TG encourages employees to seek educational opportunities that will enhance an employee's job performance and career goals at TG. TG reimburses up to 75 percent of tuition, fees, required books, and course-related expenses for any full-time employee enrolled in an eligible degree program. Employees are eligible for educational benefits after six months of employment.
Employee Assistance Program
TG employees can seek free counseling for hardships such as family and marital distress, alcohol problems, drug abuse, and depression or anxiety. Legal referrals and financial counseling are also available. Help from the Employee Assistance Program is completely confidential and no record of individual employee involvement is ever made available to Human Resources or any other party within TG.
Sick Leave, Personal Leave, Vacation Leave, and Holidays
All TG employees accrue sick, personal, and vacation leave upon date of hire. Full time employees accrue sick leave credit at a rate of six hours per month. Personal leave accrues at two hours per month. Paid vacation time accrual begins with one day per month and increases as employees gain tenure in the company. In addition, TG recognizes 11 paid holidays per year.
