Roles and Responsibilities
TG FAMily Mission Statement
The mission of the TG FAMily is to provide a forum for FAMs users to share best practices for creating optimum integration of TG's products and services with our school associates' respective FAMs.
TG FAMily Subcommittee Member Expectations/Contributions
- Available approximately eight hours a month and be available for one trip per quarter.
- Research and answer questions posted in the e-mail request folder (FAMily@tgslc.org), forwarded by the TG Liaison, posted on Ask TG, or posted on the TUG listserve (copying the message to FAMily@tgslc.org).
- Answer calls from schools with questions on the respective FAMs and try to help them troubleshoot issues (developing related Q&As for Ask TG as needed).
- Log issues they are involved in researching and/or troubleshooting in Ask TG (developing related Q&As in Ask TG as needed).
- Post monthly tips to the TUG listserve about how to facilitate integration with TG products.
- Serve as a resource to TG and to schools on questions related to FAMs processing during TG product development projects, TG external file testing, and TG production troubleshooting.
- Inform TG of patches to their FAMs and the functionality included.
- Serve as a resource for schools considering the use of the FAMs.
- Encourage FAMs vendor to test with TG.
- Be involved in TG Annual Conference and TUG sessions; assist TG in agenda development and serve on panels in User Group discussions.
