Mapping Your Future named "Best of the Web" by Forbes.com

Round Rock, Texas — Forbes.com has recognized Mapping Your Future (http://mapping-your-future.org) as a "Best of the Web" award winner for spring 2005.

Co-sponsored by TG and other student loan guarantors, Mapping Your Future is a public-service project of the financial aid industry that brings together the expertise of the industry to provide free, college, career, financial aid, and financial literacy services for students, families, and schools. Each year, millions of students and families, and thousands of schools, colleges, and universities around the country use the free services available through the Web site.

Honored in the "College Planning" category, Mapping Your Future is just one of few sites recognized. In its review of the site, Forbes.com wrote, "This easy-to-navigate, easy-to-read source for general information will ease you into the college planning process."

"With increasing tuition and tightening admission standards, students and parents are faced with a lot of important decisions today about higher education," said Catherine Mueller, executive director of Mapping Your Future. "The college planning process can be overwhelming and confusing without all these issues. However, students and parents can become better educated about college preparation and make decisions for the future by using our free resources."
