TG redesigns Spanish-language college/career-planning Web site

Site provides information to help students prepare for college

Round Rock, Texas — The Spanish-language version of Adventures In Education (AIE) at www.AIE.org now features a new design and additional information. Both the English and Spanish versions of the site, provided as a public service by TG, offer information and resources to help students and families prepare and pay for college and explore career options. Focusing on specific content for students from middle school through college, AIE also offers sections for parents, guidance counselors, librarians and educators.

AIE was originally launched in 1995 as one of the first Internet sites to offer college and career-planning information. The Spanish-language version of the site has been available since 2000. A few of AIE's most helpful Spanish-language features include the following:

  • College-planning calendar — provides tips and recommended activities to help students stay on track
  • Sample resumes and interview tips — offers guidance for creating a resume based on skills and experiences for new or first-time job seekers
  • FAFSA Information Center — includes common questions and errors made when completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
  • English/Spanish Glossary of Higher Education Terms — translates and provides alternate options for the most commonly used terms in financial aid and college planning

"In developing the new design for AIE, we really focused on users' experiences — for both the English site and the Spanish site," said JD Hancock, Web content director. "As a result, it will be easier for all students and parents to identify the information they need more quickly and easily."
