TG CollegeWorks By Web™ Is Introduced

New product helps financial aid offices with the student employment process

Round Rock, TX — TG has introduced a new web-based system to assist college financial aid offices better manage and maintain their student employment process. TG CollegeWorks By Web™ offers a variety of functions that include posting, hiring and editing applications; hiring and declining applicants; as well as viewing a job prospect's application history.

Other functions help financial aid offices and students by:

  • Identifying postings across multiple campuses.
  • Applying and withdrawing applications by students.
  • Applying for multiple positions by students.

A few schools have tested the new system and have already seen vast improvement in their ability to efficiently manage the student employment process.

"This reduces the time students spend at the financial aid office inquiring about employment," said A.D. James, Jr., director of student financial services at Tuskegee University. "The staff likes it, too. They can easily post a job description on the site and receive inquiries only from students who meet the criteria for the job."

Kim Alexander, TG vice president for customer focus, said TG CollegeWorks By Web™ provides students with greater access to the job application process in an electronic format. The system eliminates the manual and widely used card postings at financial aid or campus employment offices.

"Some offices also have dozens of campus jobs to post and hundreds of job applicants to screen. This system drastically reduces the time previously spent reviewing paper applications," Alexander said.

To learn more about TG CollegeWorks By Web™, school financial aid administrators can contact TG's product support team at (800) 332-1455, or product.support@tgslc.org. Schools may also contact their TG account executive.
