TG enhances its Integrated Default Assistant™ to help colleges manage student loan defaults

Round Rock, TX — TG has launched several enhancements to its Web-based default management tool, the Integrated Default Assistant™ (IDA™). IDA's interactive application is used to help schools, lenders, and servicers manage default rates for their TG-guaranteed loans.

IDA's search feature and pre-formatted reports allow schools, lenders, and servicers to track the cohort default rate of their TG borrowers, and to identify borrowers at risk of default. IDA offers schools the ability to create and print letters that notify student borrowers of their delinquency status.

The new features expand the notification ability by letting colleges create borrower e-mails using a pre-formatted e-mail template that can be modified to include a school logo or other branding image. School officials can change the content to suit their needs, including the opportunity to update borrower address and phone number information. For customers using TG's Electronic School Report (ESR) tool, the new IDA features will provide additional data, including a list of borrowers with pending claims, and TG's latest contact information for delinquent borrowers.

"TG is providing schools the resources to identify and communicate to at-risk student loan borrowers, which can help decrease the likelihood of borrowers going into a delinquency or default," said John Zanot, TG's Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. "The IDA enhancements are a direct response to TG customer requests for a default management tool that provides flexible notification and reporting methods."
