Round Rock, TX — TG Ambassadors and volunteers were on-hand to lend expertise on the college financial aid process to hundreds of Latino students and families at the New Futuro College Prep Fair in Houston on Saturday, October 6. TG joined in the efforts of more than a 100 education, community-based, and government partners to participate in the Houston event.
TG Ambassadors are members of TG who attend college fairs and preparation workshops, and offer presentations about the college admissions and financial aid processes.
"TG was very proud to participate and attend the first New Futuro College Prep Fair in Texas," said Sue McMillin, President and CEO of TG. "Events such as the one hosted by New Futuro help put focus on the need for a postsecondary education, particularly for our Hispanic students and families. It's imperative for our state's economic well-being to see more Latinos successfully enroll and complete a college degree plan."
