Today, the data is also used by student loan lenders, insurance companies, utility providers, collection agencies, tenant screening companies, and employers, to help them decide whether to do business with you, and under what terms. New financial services products and processes - including prepaid debit cards, short sales and loan modifications — have complicated the issue with aggressive marketing (and mis-marketing). John Ulzheimer shares information about credit reports and credit scores, their use in 2014, as well as your considerable rights and protections under several federal statutes.
