Compilation: Overview of 14 Program Integrity Topics

The final rules for Program Integrity Issues encompass 14 separate topics, so navigating the new requirements in the Federal Register publications may appear to be a daunting task. To review what's new or different from current requirements, it may be most helpful to study the topics individually.

TG has provided a high-level overview of each of the topics, to provide a brief introduction and identify key points. The summaries include a description of the Department of Education's (ED) objectives, program integrity principles, regulatory requirements, and effective dates for the new provisions. In addition, TG has developed a series of Shoptalk articles focusing on each of the topics individually and sharing other useful information for schools. To help schools better understand the new requirements, TG has created flow charts to illustrate some of these changes.
