  • For a subsidized Stafford loan made to an undergraduate student for which the first disbursement is made:

On or after July 1, 2009, but before July 1, 20105.6%
On or after July 1, 2010,* but before July 1, 20114.5%
On or after July 1, 2011, but before July 1, 20133.4%
    * The Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 eliminated new lending under the FFELP such that all Stafford, PLUS, and Consolidation Loans first disbursed on or after July 1, 2010, are required to be made under the Federal Direct Loan Program (FDLP).
