Team II Approved Final Student Loan Issue Papers

On May 5, 2011, the Department of Education (ED) published a notice in the Federal Register announcing its intention to establish one or more negotiated rulemaking (Neg Reg) committees to develop proposed regulations under the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended. In October 2011, ED requested nominations for negotiators and announced a schedule of meetings for two separate Neg Reg committees — Team I: Teacher Preparation and TEACH Grant Programs Team, and Team II: Student Loan Programs Team. The teams are scheduled to meet in Washington, DC from January through March 2012.
