Integrated Default Assistant (IDA), TG's default management application, is a multipurpose tool that helps schools: track their cohort default rate performance, predict which borrowers have loans at risk of default, manage borrower demographic data, and communicate with targeted borrowers.

IDA has the ability to import and summarize delinquent loan data from multiple sources, providing a complete institutional picture of student loan delinquency.

Major features

IDA allows you to import data from multiple sources, and to create reports to better track and manage borrower loan delinquency. With IDA you can:

  • Import records of delinquent loans made under the Federal Direct Loan Program (FDLP), FFELP loans guaranteed by TG, non-TG guaranteed FFELP loans, or loans put to the Department under the Ensuring Continued Access to Student Loans Act (ECASLA).
  • Generate reports to track loan status for borrowers with delinquent loans.
  • Evaluate FDLP servicer performance using IDA's reporting and analysis features.

IDA also allows you to communicate with specific borrowers, including borrowers with loans at risk of default, using letter and email templates. With IDA, you are able to:

  • Reach out to borrowers at risk of default through standardized letters and emails.
  • Communicate more efficiently with large numbers of borrowers with loans at risk of default using customizable letters, in English or Spanish, or a combination of English and Spanish, and pre-written emails in either language.
  • Identify borrowers with delinquent loans by specific characteristics, and craft letters to these groups.

Use IDA to manage demographic data for borrowers with delinquent loans, and document the most recent actions taken on accounts. You can:

  • Update contact information.
  • Add comments that can be categorized from a list of the most used comments, or add comments in free text form to capture unusual circumstances.
  • Document the most recent actions taken on a borrower's account, such as calls made and letters or emails sent.
  • Reference, print, or annotate call logs to better track borrowers.

Logging into IDA through school portal

Users view IDA and other TG resources through myTG, TG's Web-based portal for schools. The myTG portal simplifies navigation for users, presenting resources and information by category such as "Default Prevention" and "Financial Literacy." Self-service features allow users to view and revise account data, including contact information. Schools also update passwords and view user access permissions.

Availability

TG offers IDA at no cost to Texas colleges, and to certain colleges outside of Texas that have borrowers with TG-guaranteed loans. Contact your account executive for more details.
