List Assist can help you build a better lender list — Now with alternative lender survey support.

List Assist℠ is an online tool designed to aid in the creation, distribution, completion, collection, tracking, and evaluation of surveys used in building a FFELP or alternative loan lender list. For schools, List Assist helps simplify information gathering. For lenders, it can streamline the survey process and help prioritize work.

List Assist is designed to:

  • Help automate the lender RFI process.
  • Provide a library of potential questions specifically tailored for either FFELP or alternative lender surveys.
  • Document the List Assist lender evaluation process.

Enhancements for schools and lenders
Enhancements that affect schools and lenders include:

  • A dynamically generated character count for specific free-form text fields showing the number of characters remaining.
  • A pop-up reminder to save work before exiting when logging out.
  • A new feature that helps schools and lenders avoid overwriting data by locking surveys, preventing two or more users at the same institution from editing a survey simultaneously.
  • An "Other Answer" selection, which replaces the "No Answer" selection for all surveys created after August 14, 2009.
  • Timeout reminders warning the user of upcoming logout after 40 minutes of inactivity.
  • A feature that logs the user out of all open List Assist pages upon logout.

Enhancements for schools
For each survey, schools can:

  • Identify the type of loan survey to be distributed: FFELP or alternative.
  • Include additional information such as education level and graduate program for alternative loan surveys.
  • Access a library of questions, created with help from financial aid professionals, specific to FFELP or alternative lender surveys.
  • Add custom questions, and modify the order of all survey categories and questions.
  • Edit surveys that are in an Open status and notify lender recipients of changes.
  • Take advantage of a more user-friendly way to resend surveys and send surveys to additional recipients.
  • View a list of survey recipients.
  • Use a new rating scale of 0-5 for all questions.

Enhancements for lenders
The latest updates also make the tool easier for lenders. These enhancements include:

  • An updated survey invitation e-mail.
  • The survey end date, now displayed in the survey.
  • The ability to have multiple surveys open on one computer.
