Testing Procedure

Customers may contact Customer Services — Testing and Certification Team to request testing. The team may be contacted by phone at (800) 332-1455 or by e-mail at tgtesting@tgslc.org. Our hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., CST, Monday - Friday.

We can support your CommonLine testing as well.

Please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • School code: 99999999 (and School Name).
  • Lender code: 999999 (and Lender Name).
  • Type of test required. (CommonLine version, Application/Response, Disbursement Roster, Change Transactions, Lender Initiated Certifications, E-Sign, or TG Loans by Web™).
  • Technical point of contact for your institution.
  • Source ID and recipient ID to be used during test.
  • Method of transmission (AdvanTG Web™, SMTP/POP3, FTP).
  • Desired date of test completion (production date).
  • Method of encryption.

When sending test records to TG for processing, use the following parameters:

  • Guarantor: 748 (TG)
  • Loan types: SF, SU, CS, PL for TG specific tests.
  • Process codes: GP, GO for TG specific tests.
  • For non-TG or Alternative Loan testing, the loan types and process codes may be different from TG specific tests.
  • SMTP/POP3 encrypted CL test files should be transmitted to tgcommonlinebit@tgslc.org. Also, please send an email notification that a test file has been transmitted to tgtesting@tgslc.org. The production CL address will be provided upon completion of testing.

Please provide TG with as much advance notice as possible of your testing needs and schedules.
