Tamy Garofano
Regional Account Executive

Tamy joined TG in August 2006 and has 16 years of experience in the student financial aid and lending industries. She has worked as a loan specialist and financial aid counselor for Lee University in Tennessee and as a loan counselor at SC Student Loan Corporation. For more than six years prior to joining TG, she served as senior assistant director, processing, for the University of South Carolina — Columbia.

Tamy is an active member of the South Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SCASFAA), North Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NCASFAA), Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (VASFAA), Georgia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (GASFAA), and Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA). Tamy has served as SCASFAA secretary, chair of the vendor/sponsor committee, program chair, and various other roles in the association. She has also served as Conference Training Coordinator for VASFAA and has served as Spring Program Coordinator for NCASFAA.

Tamy holds a master's degree from Southern Wesleyan University and a bachelor's degree from Lee University.
