Tamy Garofano
Regional Account Executive

Tamy joined TG in August 2006 with more than 11 years of experience in the student financial aid and lending industries. She has worked as a loan specialist and financial aid counselor for Lee University in Tennessee and as a loan counselor at SC Student Loan Corporation. Most recently, she served as senior assistant director, processing, for the University of South Carolina - Columbia.

Tamy is an active member of the South Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SCASFAA), North Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NCASFAA), Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (VASFAA), and Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA). Tamy served as SCASFAA's secretary for two years, and as chair of the vendor/sponsor committee for two years. She has also served as Conference Training Coordinator for VASFAA and is serving as Spring Program Coordinator for NCASFAA.

Tamy holds a master's degree from Southern Wesleyan University and a bachelor's degree from Lee University.
