Prior to joining TG in summer 2001, Em worked at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, GA, where she was a counselor and recruiter and later served as the school's director of scholarships and financial aid. Prior to joining TG, she was responsible for administering the university's $10 million federal, state, and institutional financial aid and scholarship programs. Em taught courses in leadership, planning, and technological applications and current trends in administration to graduate students at Clark Atlanta University. She has organized several industry-related seminars and published research papers, among them the "School of Education Doctoral Handbook" and "Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards: Jeopardizing Efforts Toward Education Equity."
