TG Updates

• TG Offers Support for Electronic Signatures
  Texas Guaranteed (TG) now offers Stafford borrowers the ability to sign promissory notes electronically through TG Loans By Web™ (LBW).
• Texas In-state Tuition and Financial Aid for Foreign Students
  On June 16, 2001, the 77th Texas Legislature passed a law that benefits certain students who are not United States citizens.
• TG Spreads Awareness Message in Partnership with Public Libraries
  As part of ongoing efforts to offer higher education information to families and students, TG has launched the second year of its highly successful Know Before You Go: Unlocking the Door to Your Future™ campaign. The campaign provides resources and information for distribution through public libraries in a partnership with the Texas State Library and the Texas Library Association.

• The Department of Education delivers new information to Title IV participants in a variety of Dear Partner Letters (also known as Dear Colleague Letters). These letters come in different types, pertaining to different subjects:
  
  • ANN = Training Announcements
  • CB = Campus-based Programs
  • G = Guarantor Letters
  • GEN = General Distribution Letters
  • L = Lender Letters
  • LEAP = Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (LEAP) Program
  • P = Pell Grant Program
  • Disaster Letters Published by SFA
  
  Dear Partner Letters dated as far back as 1995 are available on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals website at www.ifap.ed.gov. TG has an archive of older Dear Partner Letters available upon request.
