ED releases updates to the 2003-2004 FSA Handbook
In May 2003, ED released the initial version of the 2003-2004 Federal Student Aid (FSA) Handbook. ED has since released an announcement detailing the updates that were made to the manual when compared to the 2002-2003 version, and an announcement that highlights corrections that were made to errors in this year's version.

TG Updates

TG offers free workshops on student retention, enrollment management strategies
TG and the Council for the Management of Educational Finance will conduct nine workshops in Texas this fall to help campuses align student loan default aversion practices within an institutional strategic enrollment management plan. The workshops are provided courtesy of TG. Although registration is required, there is no fee to participate in the workshops.

This, That, and the Other...

You can now perform your own statistical analysis using postsecondary education data from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) using a new Web application. Data Analysis System (DAS) Online allows you to produce tables and correlation matrices from NCES data sets. Create programming instruction files, run tables, and view output using a web browser. Or import a Table Parameter File (TPF) or Correlations Parameter File (CPF), modify it, and run the new file online. Twenty-one datasets are currently available.
