TG expands state education resource area of AIE
TG offers comprehensive information about higher education to students and families through its award-winning website, Adventures In Education (AIE). AIE is a great resource to students as they plan for college and career. Recently, TG made the site even stronger with an updated design and some expanded offerings. Just this week, TG rolled out a revised State Education Resources area, streamlining the website interface and significantly increasing the number of resources listed.

This, That, and the Other...
These days, college students are doing more than just study. Almost a third of them — about 30 percent — are volunteering, often as tutors or mentors for various activities. According to a study recently released by the Corporation for National & Community Service, a federal agency, the present generation of students is volunteering in numbers to rival the generation that came of age during World War II. In fact, volunteering has risen by more than 20 percent just within the last several years, with the biggest spikes occurring in Utah, Nevada, and Oklahoma. The study pinpoints the time of this increase to around 9/11, the year that current college students would have been in high school.
