Students who take most or all of their coursework online can feel isolated from campus life. Some schools, especially those with major distance education offerings, allow students to form virtual student clubs, which offer another way to foster career interests and promote professional connections. The Psychology Club of Pennsylvania State University's online World Campus is an example. The club, comprised of more than 120 members from various states and several countries, hosts online discussions and video lectures through the campus's learning management system. The club also holds question-and-answer sessions with guest speakers from different fields of psychology. Learn more about the growing trend of online student clubs.
