Financial Aid for Rookies

Go FAR-ther

Do you need some help in achieving your school's financial aid training goals? TG can help your school "Go FAR-ther!" TG understands that schools face multiple difficulties in constructing a training plan for staff who are new to the world of financial aid.

Staff turnover occurs throughout the year, so basic training may be a year-round need, but many available training programs are offered infrequently. Smaller offices may face cost barriers or staffing level issues for off-site training.

Financial Aid for Rookies (FAR) modules and quizzes are meant to address these dilemmas.

Our Web-based, on-demand modules have been developed to provide maximum flexibility to TG's school customers in the customization and delivery of fundamental financial aid training. Whether you need to provide introductory training for your newer staff members to "fill the gap" until the next annual state or national training is offered; or you need no-cost, up-to-date training that you can offer at your convenience, we have a solution for you.

The modules follow a chronological, life of the application process sequence, and may be taken either as a comprehensive introductory training series or as stand-alone training sessions. Each module includes a learning assessment for trainees.

To maximize the flexibility of FAR, the modules are deliberately high-level and will not address each school's policies and procedures. TG knows that the school is best-qualified to provide school-level information, and encourages you to supplement the modules with school-specific discussions or materials to best meet your needs.

FAR modules include:
