In 2010, TG contracted JBL Associates, Inc. to collaborate, research, and design resources, provided at no cost to Title III and Title V institutions, to improve student success, certificate, and degree completion. First developed was Communicating for Completion Alignment, a guide, and communication assessment unlike any other, to accompany systemic degree-completion strategies and provide guidance on messages, policies, and organizational functions to inform and improve student success. Second was Certificate and Degree Completion, a guide based upon the most essential elements necessary for campuses wishing to improve student completion. The guides offer an array of easy-to-use tools with which institutional leaders and practitioners can collectively assess, and critically reflect upon the effect institutional communications, practices, programs, and policies have on student completion and institutional culture.

Elizabeth H. Stanley will host regional meetings to introduce participants to these resources and explore how they can provide systematic guidance as campuses more intentionally address student success and completion. Institutional teams spanning admission and recruitment, financial assistance, student accounts, academic affairs, instruction, academic advising, student affairs, and support are encouraged to attend. Institutional teams will discover how to create momentum in planning strategically and successfully for increased student retention, completion, and career readiness.
